Optimization arrangement approach to avoid multiple projectiles passing simultaneously through a screen in a sky-screen velocity measurement system
The paper presents a probability statistical theory-based optimization arrangement approach to avoid multiple projectiles passing simultaneously through a screen in a sky-screen velocity measurement system. We mainly study on several factors which lead to this problem and put forward a simplified mathematical model of its occurring conditions.Furthermore, we discuss the relationship between the occurrence probability and the flying distance of the projectile and derive a calculation function for determining the reasonable distance from this instrument to the weapon under test (WNT).Through calculations and experiments, the results show that multiple projectiles cannot pass simultaneously through a screen after the sky-screen velocity measurement system is arranged reasonably, and the proposed optimization arrangement approach is scientific and feasible.
