Small target detection algorithm based on visual saliency

摘要：

　　A robust infrared small target detection method based on visual saliency is presented.First, the saliency map of target is calculated by the Gaussian difference method.Then an improved Local Contrast Measure filter is designed to suppress the residual clutter in image.With background suppression, target has been effectively enhanced and can be easily detected by threshold segmentation.Experimental results indicate that the proposed method not only works well under different complex backgrounds, but also outperforms some existing methods in both subjective and objective qualities.
