A compact antenna and radome design for harmonic radar fuze

  Harmonic Radar fuze is a new type system of short range detector using the feature of the targets nonlinear scattering as the detection criterion.Compared with regular fuze, the harmonic radar fuze possesses a good target identification performance and a strong anti-jamming ability, whose committed character is that the receiving signal frequency is three times that of the transmitting signal.Then the frequency span between two antennas is very wide.A compact shared-aperture fuze antenna is designed whose transmitting frequency is in X-band and receiving frequency is in Kaband.A dual-band and frequency selective radome is designed and fabricated.The transmitting and receiving antenna share the same radome.This radome is a kind of simple and effective measure which can improve the capability of restraining the wide band blanket jamming.
