Experimental study on the influence of the ignition technique of FAE to distributing of explosive power

  The influence of the number of the initial detonation points of a FAE (fuel-air explosive) to explosive power was studied through the method of the blast experiment on the number of different initiating points of the same charge in three groups of FAE warhead.The results showed that the shock wave overpressure of explosion of the FAE warhead would decrease with the increase of the number of initiating points (from a single point to four points reduced by 48%~52%).The shock wave impulse of explosion of the FAE warhead would increase with the increase of the number of initiating points (from a single point to four points increased by 8%~22%).It can be known that, for the target affected by the impact wave impulse, the multi-point initiation of the FAE warhead will improve the damage effect.This conclusion provides the corresponding for the design of the FAE warhead initiation system.
