Identification of high-spinning projectile drag coefficient using an unscented Kalman filter
To obtain the drag coefficient of a high-spinning projectile, an Unscented Kalman Filter (UKF) is used in this paper to estimate the parameter.First, the feasibility and scientificalness of why to choose the 4D ballistic model is analysed.Then, the basic theory of UKF is given with a brief introduction and designing the filter.Lastly, in order to verify the accuracy of UKF identification, the results of Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) identification are compared.The result shows that in the case of the variational drag coefficient with the Mach number, the UKF can estimate the drag coefficient effectively, and the UKF has a better performance than the EKF.
