Numerical simulation on the gas-liquid interaction during the supercavitation projectiles underwater launching process

  A two-dimensional multi-phase flow model (VOF) was used to simulate the gas-liquid interaction process near the muzzle of the underwater gun.The formation and development of gas bubble near the muzzle was simulated.The characteristics of the flow field were obtained and the necking phenomenon near the muzzle was captured.The research results can provide references for the design of supercavitation underwater gun.
