Study on the influence of piezoelectric ceramic layers on electrical output performance under strong dynamic loading
In order to analyze the influence of piezoelectric ceramic layers on the electrical output performance at the conditions of same impact pressure, testing systems for impact pressure of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and electrical output characteristics of piezoelectric ceramics combined with the one-stage light gas gun loading system were built.Composite structure targets with piezoelectric ceramics of different layers are impacted perpendicularly by columnar solid aluminum alloy projectiles with a diameter of 15.3mm and a length-to-diameter ratio of 1 ∶ 1.The time history of impact pressure,output voltage of piezoelectric ceramics, output voltage of energy storage capacitor and the output energy curve of piezoelectric ceramics are obtained.The results show that the piezoelectric ceramics generate a voltage pulse of approximately 180 V at a pressure peak of 550 MPa.Piezoelectric ceramic stacks of different layers have less influence on the output voltage of the piezoelectric ceramics and the output voltage of the storage capacitor, but having a greater influence on the energy output.The more parallel layers of piezoelectric ceramics is, the greater the output energy of piezoelectric ceramics and the higher energy conversion rate are.
