Study on the Flame Retardant Properties of CAF-K, Ca and CAF-Ba

摘要：

　　Potassium and calcium carrageenan fibers (CAF-K, Ca) and barium carrageenan fibers (CAF-Ba) were prepared via wet spinning process to study flame retardancy.The mechanical properties flame retardancy, elemental content and surface morphology of these two fibers were studied by intensity determination, limiting oxygen index (LOI), cone calorimeter (CONE), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS).The results indicated that different metal ions played different roles in the carrageenan pyrolysis.
