Influence of Fe Decorated Fullerene on The Kinetics of Thermo-Oxidative Degradation of High-Density Polyethylene
In the present work, the Kissinger method, Flynn-Wall-Ozawa method and Coats-Redfern method are used to determine the kinetic parameters and the possible reaction mechanism of the thermo-oxidative degradation of high-density polyethylene and its composites with Fe decorated fullerene in air at four different heating rates-5, 10, 20 and 40 K min-1.At air atmosphere, the introduction of C60, FeCl3 and C60-Fe can all increase the activation energy of PE, especially at the beginning of degradation. The increase of Ed and the change of degradation mechanism are the reasons for the improvement of thermo-oxidative stability of PE.
