Flame Retardance of Montmorillonite and Ammonium Polyphosphate Synergism Coated Rigid Polyurethane Foam by Layer-by-Layer Deposition

Polyurethanes (PU) represent a wide class of polymers made by reacting diisocyanates or polyisocyanates with diols or polyols, has developed rapidly in these decades by its advantages in mechanical strength, thermal insulation performance, adhesive property, thermo aging property etc..However, polyurethanes, especially RPUF, are very combustible due to its chemical structure.The limit oxygen index (LOI) of PU foams is in the range of 16-18.
