Effect of EPDM-g-MAH on the properties of Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer(EPDM) insulation material

  The effect of EPDM-g-MAH on the mechanical properties and ablation resistance of ethylene propylene diene monomer(EPDM) insulation materials were studied by the tensile test and linear ablation rate test, When the amount of EPDM-g-MAH was 14.3 wt%, the specimen displayed the best overall performance: the elongation at break was 780% and the tensile strength was 6.7 MPa, The linear ablation rate also declined with the substitution of EPDM-g-MAH in composite.
