Influence of polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (POSS) on flame retardancy of polyurea coatings
This work deals with hybrid organic/inorganic flame retardant made of modified Hexahedron POSS (polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane) on polyurea coatings.The mechanical behavior and flame retardancy of polyurea composite has been studied.Furthermore, the POSS structure is enhanced the flame retardancy of polyurea coating successfully through the results of LOI test.Finally, it was proved that the modified POSS structure not only improved the aging resistance of the polyurea material, but also had a significant increase in thermal stability and flame retardancy.
