Synthesis of Two Phosphorus and Nitrogen Flame Retardants and Their Application in Nylon 6

摘要：

　　One-step reaction of terephthalaldehyde with diethylenetriamine and 4,4-diaminodiphenylmethane to form polyschiff base, Then, DOPO was added to the Schiff base chain through an addition reaction to synthesize two novel phosphorus-nitrogen intumescent flame retardants PED and PDD.When these two flame retardants are melt-blended with nylon 6, they show good flame retardancy.When the added amount is 15%, it makes the nylon 6 composite reach UL-94 V-0 rating and high LOL.
