Comprehensive multi-dimension evaulation technology for carbonate reservoir
Due to low porosity, high heterogeneity and rapidly lateral changes of carbonate reservoirs, the wireline-logging interpretaion results based on the suites of conventional logs and imaging logging data are sometimes not consistent with the well testng results. This paper provides an approach in terms of dual laterolog, microresistivity imaging and XMAC logging data that can be used to carry out two-dimensional qualitative identification and quantitative evaluation of carbonate reservoir, fully takes the advantages of ARI (azimuthal reflection imaging) in azimuth and investigation depth to analyze the fracture and vugs distributaion within 40m from the borehole wall and forms a sound comprhensive multi-dimension carbonate reservoir evalutaion technology called five-step approximation. The technology has been put into practise and achieved good results, which provides a scientific basis for well testing and reservoir reconstruction in the future.
