A Facile Method to Prepare Electricity Conductive Fabric and Its Application in Pressure Sensor

  Electronic fabric which combine traditional fabric with intelligent functionalities have attracted increasing attention.This research fabricated a flexible and wearable pressure sensor with conductive nylon fabric as electrodes and elastomer Ecoflex as dielectric layer.The nylon fabric was first treated by alcohol washing for 30 minutes, followed with radioactivation activated by SnCl2.The conductive nylon fabric which showed a high conductivity of 0.268Ω · cm (square resistance) was made by megnetron sputtering with Ag.A self-made mould at the size of 1 mm× 1 mm × 0.5 mm was used to make the dielectric layer of the fabric based flexible sensor.The flexible pressure sensor shows a high sensitivity of 0.6190kPa-1 , a good linearity of 0.991 (R2) under the pressure from 0kPa and 162kPa, and a quick response time of 0.801s.Also, the pressure sensor has a good stability, when press and reply for 9500 times, the capacitance loss rate is only 0.0534.The fabric based flexible and wearable sensor with good properties has wide potential applications and provided a prospect in the field of intelligent fabric for the acquisition of human motions and health data.
