Recyclable Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polyimine Resin Composites
Covalent polymeric networks composed of imine cross-linkages have been prepared by condensation polymerization of polyethyleneimine and terephthalaldehyde.The crosslinked polyimine exhibits malleability and degradable characteristics.The polyimine could be remolded at 180℃ under hot pressure and the remolded samples showed high retention of mechanical properties.Finally, carbon fiber reinforced polymer composites were fabricated using the polyimine as matrix.Recoveries of carbon fibers could be realized through gentle depolymerization of the polyamine matrix in ethanediamine solution.
