Effect of Lay-Up Sequence on the Flexural Properties of CFRP Laminates
In the current studies, the flexural behavior of carbon fiber reinforced polymer laminates was investigated experimentally.The CFRP laminates were fabricated using unidirectional prepreg molding process.Three-point bending test were performed using a material testing system.The present results showed that the flexural strength and modulus of laminates were strongly dependent on the lay-up sequence of the fiber reinforcement.The ply stacking sequence 0°exhibited best flexural properties than others.The flexural failure of CFRP was initiated that the upside of the CFRP suffers compression failure and the lower surface suffers tension failures.
