Intelligent Plantar Pressure Monitoring Insole Based on 3D Printing and Flexi Force Sensor Technology
Using 3D printing and Flexi force sensor technology to measure the foot pressure of the body under different movement conditions, the plantar pressure distribution was mainly measured at the thumb, the first metatarsal, the fifth metatarsal and the heel. The results showed that the plantar pressure under different exercise conditions will change significantly.Thumb was first contact ground during running, followed by the forefoot and the heel, and the heel pressure is always the largest.During the upstairs and downstairs, the plantar pressure distribution will change with the movement of the gravity. When the person goes upstairs, the center of gravity moves forward. The pressure on the plantar forefoot is a bit more pressure than going downstairs, but the heel pressure increases dramatically when he goes downstairs, which explained people center of gravity is moving backwards during the downstairs.
