The Effect of Different Female Body Shape Patterns on Marker Efficiencies at Dissimilar Fabric Width in the Garment Production
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of body shape patterns and marker efficiency on fabric utilization at different fabric width.Patterns and markers of the fitted shirt arc generated conventionally for four women body shapes i.e.triangle, square, oval and circle. The results reveal that there is a linear relationship between pattern marker efficiency and fabric width (sig.<0.05).The regression analysis (p-value) is also statistically significant. All body shapes have more marker efficiency results at larger fabric width however amongst all;Square shape female body is the most efficient and cost-effective in fabric utilization for a fitted dress shirt.
