Incorporation of Metal Ions into Hydrogen-Bonded Polymer Complex Film
Incorporation of metal ions in polymers might give rise to some functionality which onld be explored in some useful applications.Keeping this in view, we were able to incorporate lanthanide ions into poly (vinyl-pyrrolidone)/poly (acrylic acid) (PVPON/PAA) films.The films were LBL (layer by layer) assembled and lanthanide ions were introduced into the films at different pH.The concentration of Ln ions was increased gradually.Effect of incorporation of lanthanides was investigated at different molar solutions.Finally the metal-polymer films were characterized by UV-Visible and FT-IR.The emission and excitation spectra were also recorded.
