Recent research on passive control of offshore structural vibrations in the Centre for Infastructure Monitoring and Protection(CIMP)at Curtin University
This paper summarizes the recent research works on offshore structural vibration control in the Centre for Infrastructure Monitoring and Protection(CIMP)at Curtin University,Australia.In particular,the following three aspects are summarized: 1)subsea pipeline vibration control based on the pipe-in-pipe(PIP)concept; 2)offshore wind turbine vibration control by using multiple tuned mass dampers(MTMD)and 3)offshore floating platform heave motion control by adopting the inerter-based device.
