Deformation prediction of an traditional Tibetan building based on long-term monitoring data

  A structural health monitoring system has been installed in a typical Tibetan timber building to measure the structural strains since 2012.It is an important issue to make effective prediction for the deformation in long-term monitoring.In this paper,the singular spectrum(SSA)is used for forecasting the structural strains to exercise maintenance measures to the structure which the forecasting period is three months.Several forecasting schemes are proposed while the optimal one is determined by the least MSE.The analyzed results for the forecasting is applied to see the trend of the strain.The forecasting results from different methods are compared while the SSA is found slightly outperforms the autoregressive integrated moving average model(ARIMA)for both long term and short term forecasting.
