Performance analysis of externally reinforced dayaowan bridge based on intelligent cfrp plate
Post-tensioned CFRP(Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer)reinforcement technology has been widely used in the bridge structure as external reinforcement and repair. This paper describes the use of the intelligent carbon plate developed at Dalian University of Technology(DUT)to strength and monitor the real-time strain of Dayaowan Bridge,Dalian,China. Moreover, the real-time effective prestress loss of CFRP plates obtained from monitoring data were used to simulate the bridge based on MIDAS CIVIL finite element software. The finite element model(FEM)could check the transversal crack resistance and deflection of the bridge under prestressing condition. The results demonstrated that the developed numerical simulation-based on the measured strain data gathered from the optical fiber sensor(OFs)embedded in the carbon plates could accurately predict the mechanical properties of the Bridge,as well as provide an effective method for health diagnosis.
