Method on crack damage of reinforced concrete beam based on numerical simulation of edem and experiment
A distinct element model was proposed to simulate cracking in a reinforced concrete(RC)beam,and the influence of cracking on natural frequency was analyzed.The expanded distinct element method(EDEM)to determine two-dimensional cracking and to analyze the crack growth of the RC beam.The experiment was carried out to verify the numerical simulation results.The AE location technique was used to judge the internal fracture damage of concrete and compare with the crack open displacement(COD)of the surface of the beam.
