Analytical and experimental study of sloped sliding-type bearings
In recent years,seismic isolation technology has been widely applied on buildings or bridges.Various kinds of new isolation technologies were proposed to satisfy different demands.This article introduced an innovative seismic isolation system named Sloped Sliding-Type Bearing.First,the nonlinear motion equation was derived.Then,the numerical simulation method was established.Finally,the simulation results were verified by the shaking table tests.From both of the numerical and experimental results,the isolation system is effective under a real earthquake.The isolated acceleration response is well controlled by the friction coefficient and the slope of the sliding surface.
