Damage localization and quantification of a simply supported beam using quasi-static moving load test
This paper proposes a two-stage damage detection method by using displacement response obtained in quasi-static moving load test for simply supported beam.Firstly,the correspondences between damage parameters and several displacement influence line(DIL)related features are investigated systematically.Then damage localization index and quantification equation are formulated based on the area of the region encircled by the DIL change(DILC)and element(ADE),and beam(ADB),respectively.The feasibility of the proposed method is verified via a simulated simply supported beam.The results indicated that it could localize and quantify damage with few sensors rapidly.
