Seismic reliability analysis of urban water network system considering interdependency effect of substation

  Seismic reliability analysis of interdependent network was conducted considering urban water network and electric network.In order to represent failure probability of water and electric network facility,the seismic fragility curves proposed by Federal Emergency Management Agency(FEMA)were utilized.For underground pipeline,failure probability was calculated based on repair rate(number of break points per 1km pipe length).The performance indicators were quantified methods that measure the systemic vulnerability from source to sinks.The performance indicators were measured using Monte Carlo simulation(MCS)and the results show that system reliability of lifeline network increased as the magnitude of the earthquake and interdependency decreased.
