Monitoring-based identification and modeling of soilstructure interaction using shaking table testing
Data-driven identification and modeling of the soil-structure interaction(SSI)is significantly important for real-world structures subjected to earthquakes in various engineering disciplines. The shake table testing data on an experimental structural model with soil simulated is utilized in the present study. One storey superstructure with box foundation is firstly adopted, and the dynamic equation is then presented. The differential evolutionary(DE)algorithm is then employed for optimization-based iterative identification on physical parameters including stiffness and damping coefficients. The influence of the SSI on the responses of the superstructure is revealed and discussed.
