Analysis and early warning of girder deflections of a steeltruss arch Railway Bridge based on monitoring and FE modeling
The running of high-speed trains puts forward new challenges for the girder deflection of the railway bridge. The behavior analysis and early warning of girder deflections are necessary for the daily operation of the bridge structures. With regard to Nanjing Dashengguan Yangtze River Bridge, the present paper identifies the temperature-induced/train-induced deflections of bridge girder by wavelet transform. The principal components of bridge temperature field are obtained from multi-sensors data. The finite element(FE)model of bridge is updated by the temperature-induced girder deflection, and the effect of temperature-induced deformation on train-induced girder deflections is analyzed using train-bridge dynamic model. The statistical law of the minimum and maximum of the train-induced girder deflection are described using the maximum likelihood estimate of t location-scale distribution. The warning threshold of the girder deflection can be determined by superimposing the temperature-induced girder deflection and the upper and lower threshold of train-induced girder deflection. When the deflection data exceeds the warning thresholds,it indicates abnormal changes of girder deflection, likely due to the extreme operation load, deterioration of track irregularity on the bridge,or damaged bridge components.
