Structural multi-scale model updating based on the kriging approximate surrogate model and NSGA-II

  Multi-scale monitoring model as an assistant tool of the structural health monitoring that need reflect the structural global and local responses simultaneously,so the updating of it considers structural multi-type responses synthetically.However,the traditional model updating method is mainly based on the dynamic characteristics; the iterative calculation based directly on the finite element model increases the difficulty and time consuming,while the common polynomial response surface has poor nonlinear fitting degree.Therefore,the structural multi-scale model updating based on the kriging approximate surrogate model and NSGA-Ⅱ is proposed.Firstly,F test of orthogonal experimental design is used to select the influence parameters.Secondly,the establishment method of the approximate surrogate model of finite element simulation based on the Latin hypercube sampling and Kriging method is proposed.Then the mathematical model for model updating is defined according to the monitoring data of correction objectives,kriging approximate surrogate models and the influence parameters; the NSGA-Ⅱ algorithm is used to obtain the optimal solution of influence parameters and to realize the updating of initial multi-scale model.Finally,stress,displacement and frequency obtained from the full shell element model of a warren truss that is based on a set of random parameters are used as the monitoring data.The initial multi-scale model of a warren truss based on the theoretic value of parameters is updated using the propose method.The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated by comparing the updated values of influence parameters and all correction objectives.
