Stress field monitoring of multi-strand tendon anchorage using impedance response via PZT interface

  In this paper,impedance-based stress field monitoring in multi-strand tendon anchorage system via PZT interface is presented.Firstly,the stress of a multi-strand tendon anchorage system is analyzed under prestress-loss occurrence.Secondly,a hoop type of aluminum interface mounted with PZT sensor is proposed to detect the stress variation based on impedance responses of the PZT.Thirdly,a finite model of 7-strand tendon anchorage system is established to numerically evaluate the proposed technique.The change of impedance responses due to the prestress-loss is qualified via root mean square deviation(RMSD)index.Finally,the PZT-hoop interface is employed to monitor prestress-loss on lab-scale model of prestressed concrete girder.
