Percolation threshold and piezoresistive behavior of carbon nanotube reinforced cement composite
Multiwall carbon nanotube(MWCNT)reinforced cement composites(MNTRCs)with varied loadings of MWCNT were fabricated with surfactant ultrasonic dispersion process.DC Wheatstone full & half bridge configurations were simultaneously employed to obtain the electrical resistances, the uniaxial stresses, and the longitudinal strains under compressive loading. The percolation threshold and piezoresistive behaviors under different MWCNTs loading of the MNTRCs were correspondingly studied. Results reveal that, the volume resistivity(ρ)of MNTRC with varied MWCNT loading conforms to percolation threshold, and fraction change in resistivity(Δρ)of MNTRCs with 5wt%MWCNT is almost linearly falls down by increment of stress/strain,respectively,and the strain gauge factor(GF)of the corresponding MNTRC arrives up to 56.0,much higher than common strain gauge.
