Seismic control of a 3-stories frame by a single-side pounding tuned mass damper(SS-PTMD)

摘要：

　　This paper proposes a new method to control a SDOF structure by a single-side pounding tuned mass damper(SS-PTMD).The shake table test was performed to verify the simulation method.a numerical study on a 3-stories frame controlled by a SS-PTMD under EI-Centro earthquake was carried out.The results show that the SS-PTMD can effectively reduce the structural response.
