Microclimate Effect of Landscape Elements of Urban Opening Park: A Case Study in Humid and Hot Area
Taking the Baihuatan Park, which is a free park of Chengdu in humid and hot area, as empirical study, this article makes a quantitative analysis of the effects of outdoor microclimate elements such as water, architecture and plant by monitoring temperature, wind speed, humidity, and solar radiation in summer. The results show that ventilation and shade are key factors in summer to improve microclimate comfort in the opening urban area located in hot and humid zone, and the best microclimate effect is shown when the waterscape following the wind and architecture are combined, which provides research ideas and design strategies for landscape planning of city open space in hot and humid area.
