Study on the Impact of Different Ground Types on Landscape Microclimate in Urban Green Spaces
The earth surface as the boundary of the lower atmosphere directly affects the status of microclimate. The lack of water resources, scarce precipitation, cold winters and hot summers in the semi-arid regions of Northwest China have particularly notable impacts on the atmospheric environment.By testing the parameters of microclimate around different types of surface of green space in Xian University of Architecture and Technology, we quantitatively analyzed the influence of brick, bare soil, gravel mulch, bark mulch and natural herbaceous plant community on the microclimate. The results showed that the natural succession community had a significant cooling and humidifying effect on the environment, reducing the ambient temperature by 2℃ and increasing the humidity by 3.5%.Gravel and bark coverage can reduce the localized air humidity and its weakens air temperature. However, the soil temperature was relatively stable with cover, and its reduction effect on soil temperature in summer was better than that of natural succession community, with a decrease of 1-1.2℃.On this basis, we propose a design optimization strategy for selecting green land landscape surface types to supporo the green landscape design.
