Lead-edge technologies of hydropower development in China

  After implementation of the Reform and Opening-up Policy for 40 years, the exploitation of Chinas hydropower resources has got significant development.Through vast scientific and technological research and construction practice,China has accumulated abundant engineering experience in respect of construction technologies of 300-meter-high concrete arch dam, 200-meter-high roller-compacted concrete gravity dam, 200-meter-high concrete face rockfill dam and 250-meter-high earth core rockfill dam as well as large-flow discharge and energy dissipation, huge underground cavern group construction, complicated treatment of foundation for high earth and rockfill dam and reinforcement of high and steep slope.These series of technologies have reached an international leading level.In future, these technical improvements will have a broad application prospect and make a greater contribution to hydropower development both in China and also worldwide.
