Engineering design and realization of AC excitation variable speed units of China Hebei Fengning pumped storage power station
Two variable-speed pumped storage units of Fengning Pumped Storage Power Station in Hebei Province, China,are the first large-scale AC excitation variable-speed pumped storage units built in China.At present, the engineering design has achieved phased results.This paper introduces the current design results of the connection to the power system and electrical system of Fengning Pumped Storage Power Station, as well as the equipment of AC excitation variable speed units.The phased realization, suggestion and research direction of electrical system of AC excitation variable speed unit and some key technical issues related to variable-speed unit and its accessory equipment, AC excitation equipment, control and protection equipment are put forward, aiming to provide possible reference for the construction of the following similar projects.
