Energy security in the era of transition
With the deepening of globalization and the increasingly prominent abuse of fossil energy, contemporary energy security, with its closer relationship with challenges like climate change, environmental degradation, energy poverty, sustainable development etc., has become a globally complex issue. The traditional thought of energy security under the framework of fossil energy can no longer cope with the new energy security problems. In this case, a systematic transition towards low-carbon, clean energy from fossil fuels is the key to addressing the new energy security challenges and has become the common choice of most countries. This essay focuses on energy security issues in the era of energy transition and intends to explore the implications of energy transition towards renewable energy on world energy security from the perspective of energy system characteristics.
