1 Introduction According to the 2017 Revision of World Population Prospects, which was the 25th United Nations official population estimate and projection prepared by the Population Division of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations Secretariat in 2015, the global population of people aged 60 and over accounted for 12.3％ of the total.The population aged 65 and over accounted for 8.3％ of the global total.
