Application of GPR Signal Processing Technology about Spectral Energy for Large Depth and Refinement in Geological Investigation
The ground penetrating radar (GPR) is a widely used technology in the geological investigation, but it is difficult to identify weak signal from large depth and less physical properties difference by the conventional data processing methods and it can also cause the uncertainty for interpreting the abnormality.Based on the uniqueness characteristics of spectral response for the single medium, the GPR signal processing technology about spectral energy is presented and the data processing flow is described in detail.Through geological investigation and surveying on construction site in actually, the strength of spectral energy about air and water target medium were extracted and calculated, the formations and their weathering degree were divided, the position, morphology and scale of water area were determined clearly and accurately.Compared with the radar image processed by conventional method, the new method can improve the resolution and increase the effective detecting depth, and the anastomosis degree of results was higher after verified by drilling.By means of three-dimensional modeling and model reconstruction of target, the spatial distribution of underground formation and water had been inversed, the purpose of comprehensive and holistic investigation on the construction site had been achieved, and reliable technical basis had been provided.
