Iris Localization Algorithm Based on Improved Hough Transform
Aim at the disadvantages of large computation and low efficiency of directly using Hough transform algorithm, we use the improved iris localization algorithm.First, in order to reduce the number of the pixels of participating in the Hough transform, the images are preprocessed by Canny operator;then isolate the pupil and calculate the iris inner radius by grayscale characteristics and circular geometric features of iris image;finally use the gradient operator to detect the circle and achieve precise positioning of the iris outer radius, which can locate the whole iris.Select the iris images from CASIA database in the experiment, the experimental results show that the algorithm improves the efficiency and precision of positioning, and increases the robustness of detection.
