Probing the Nanoscale with Surface Imprinted Polymers

Molecularly imprinted polymers(MIP) 1 have attracted increasing interest for selective recognition of a wide range of species,be they from chemical or biological origin. There are different ways to classify such MIP.One of them is to distinguish between bulk and surface MIP.The latter approach is of special interest when generating MIP that shall bind larger species,i.e.species exceeding the size of a usual small molecule.
