Design and Application of Purging Plug with Composite Structure for Refining Ladle

　　The development history of purging plug for ladle,including various materials and diverse structures,is reviewed systematically.Such plugs characteristics and defects are presented.Several kinds of purging plugs with composite structure are introduced briefly.The design ideas of segment purging plug are elaborated in detail.And structural features and functional characteristics are analyzed.Field test comparison between slit type and segment type plug is made under the typical smelting conditions.While the latter exhibits excellent results,such as longer service life,energy saving,environment-friendly and higher air permeability stability.
