The Phase Composition and Magnetic Properties of Pr-Nd-MM-Fe-B Nanocrystalline Magnets Prepared by Spark Slasma Sintering
The isotropic nanocrystalline (PrNd)0.8MM0.229.8(Fe,TM)balB magnets were prepared by single-main phase and multi-main phase methods using SPS.The parameters in the preparation are: the quenching speed of 60 m/s,the time of high energy ball milling of 1 h,the sintering temperature of 600 ℃,and the sintering pressure of 500 MPa.The magnetic properties of the magnet prepared by multi-main phase method(called multi-main phase magnet,MMP magnet)are better than those of the magnet prepared by single-main phase method(called single-main phase magnet,SMP magnet). The magnetic parameters of MMP magnet are Br =0.75 T,Hcj =909.83 kA/m,(BH)max =95.48 kJ/m3.The Curie temperature TC of the SMP magnet is 563 K,which is lower than the 577 K of the MMP magnet. The peaks of the main phase of the MMP magnet in the XRD pattern split, indicating that R2Fe14B phases with different distributions of La/Ce elements exist in the magnet. In the SEM,La/Ce-rich main phase and La/Ce-lean main phase are present in the MMP magnets. The heterogeneity of rare earth elements effectively suppresses the magnetic dilution effect in the MMP magnet.
