The Fe Based Soft Magnetic Composites Coated with Al2O3 Prepared by a Sol-gel Processing
The carbonyl Fe particles powder was coated with Al2O3 prepared by a sol-gel processing using aluminium isopropoxide as the raw materials.Soft magnetic composites(SMCs)were manufactured via compaction and heat treatment of the coated powder.The raw powder amd coated powder were analysed using scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS),and X-ray diffraction(XRD).Their magnetic properties were determined using a vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM).The permeability and magnetic loss of the composites were measured with a B-H curve analyzer.The results show that,using the sol-gel method,the raw sol was successfully prepared and coated the calbonyl Fe powder and turned into Al2O3 calcined at high temperature for 1h.The Ms and Bs decreased after coated Al2O3,and Hcj and Hcb increased.The permeability of the SMCs decreased and then increased when the calcined at the temperature range of 500-1100℃.With the increasing of Al2O3 content,the permeability decreased,and Pcv and Hc increased.
