Study on Ti-6Al-4V Alloy Produced by Powder Metallurgy Process
Because of the low cost of the original powder(such as titanium sponge and hydrogenation and dehydrogenation titanium powder),mixed element method(BE)has become the focus of development of the powder metallurgy process.In this paper,Ti-6Al-4V alloy was obtained by cold isostatic pressing and vacuum sintering using hydrogenated and dehydrogenated titanium powder and vanadium aluminum alloy powder as raw materials,through blended elemental method(BE).The microstructure and properties of the alloy were analyzed.The results show that the sintered density is > 97%and the microstructure is basketweave; the tensile strength at room temperature is >900MPa,and the elongation is >10%.
