Sintering of the Chalcogenide Glass Powder Compacts for Porous Structure
Research on sintering of chalcogenide glass powder has been investigated using Powder Metallurgy(PM)process.Firstly, characteristics of Ge-Sb-Se based chalcogenide glass powder were measured. Then the compressibility curve was obtained from the compaction process.Differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)analysis was performed to obtain the glass transition point and crystallization temperature. The effects of sintering temperature were studied about relative density.Compacted chalcogenide glass specimens were sintered at various temperature ranges in the argon atmosphere.By comparing the sintering results, sintering temperature was optimized for high density.X-ray diffraction spectroscopy(XRD)pattern was analyzed to investigate the crystallization of sintered components. And the microstructure of specimens was investigated to check whether the pores of sintered parts exist. In order to make porous chalcogenide glass, sodium(NaCl)was used as a space holder. And then microstructure was investigated
