The Development of Microwave Heating Furnace for Powder Selective High Temperature Sintering
Microwave can penetrate into material and causes volume heating.It is characterized in short processing time,high efficiency,and good heating quality,especially applicable for powder high temperature selective sintering.Based on the microwave application technology,the microwave heating furnace was developed for the solid powders for different temperature segments and different applications with core of the furnace structure design and temperature control theory.The temperature control system of magnetron was designed with pulse control strategy.The electromagnetic field distribution of rectangular resonant cavity with the given size was simulated by Ansoft-HFSS(high frequency structure simulation).Different structure forms of resonant cavity were analyzed.The size of resonant cavity for sintering was determined quantitatively.An experimental platform was set up.The experimental result reveals that the feasibility of microwave selective sintering was verified.
