An IoT Application-Layer Protocol Modem:A Case Study on Interfacing IEEE 1888 with AT Commands

　　In IoT,communication modules such as Wi-Fi,LTE,Bluetooth are essential for connecting sensors,actuators,facilities,and buildings.Such communication modules have been recently available with 3 USD in the market but they provide only lower-layer communication interfaces via AT commands.In this paper,we present our study on implementing an IoT application-layer protocol on such a communication module with designing AT command interface for the applicationlayer protocol.With our prototype,we demonstrate that this module design allows application developers to easily use an IoT protocol.
