Loop-free Forwarding in Hierarchical Location-based Routing

　　Hierarchical location-based addressing has been proposed to address the scalability issue of todays Internet.However,there has been little focus on how to implement the forwarding plane for the addressing scheme.In this paper,we investigate the risk that location-based addressing poses to the forwarding plane.We find that permanent forwarding loops can occur in hierarchical location-based routing.We present a new loop-free forwarding mechanism to guarantee routing stability.We evaluate the performance of the new forwarding mechanism.The results demonstrate that proposed forwarding method can enhance the recovery mechanisms proposed by previous work.
